Manual Labour

GRP, Custom Patinated Metallic Finish

Art installation featuring large, textured sculpted busts of human heads in the foreground and black and white artwork of faces on fabric panels in the background, all arranged within a metallic framework.

Artist Hannah Perry’s exhibition includes a choreographed mechanical sculpture which considers the physical act of labour. The work captures the beauty and struggle of the transition in the sculpture’s brutal, constrained power.

Her chosen materials, from steel to car lacquer and body wrap, are associated with manual occupations in manufacturing and industry.
