We embrace emerging technologies & incorporate them into providing the Arts with the best & most suitable solutions to the many challenges. We work nationally & internationally on hundreds of projects annually & our skills and services are available to any suitable sector. As a company our range of expertise has helped to further the reputation & aspirations of many people. Historically we have a low profile; we are here to encourage & deliver the creations for others. Partnerships have included, Tate Britain/Liverpool/St Ives, Serpentine, Hayward, British Museum, V&A, Design Museum, Science Museum, YSP, English Heritage, National Trust, Westminster Abbey, St Paul's Cathedral, Guggenheim Bilbao. Through Sugar Studios we also provide studio & rehearsal space for many theatre/dance organisations nationally & internationally, we have infinity & green screen studios, for music videos, photography, gaming development & small independent film company productions, allowing access to such resources in the south east of London. We provide all services under one roof. This enables any Artist/creatives to realise their concept, allowing their creations to grow & materialise in one place. As a company we have been involved in thousands of objects/projects & environments. The learning & understanding will continue to develop at MDM, helping the Arts & its natural capacity for changing & evolving.
Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden said:
"This funding is a vital boost for the theatres, music venues, museums and cultural organisations that form the soul of our nation. It will protect these special places, save jobs and help the culture sector's recovery.
"These places and projects are cultural beacons the length and breadth of the country. This unprecedented investment in the arts is proof this government is here for culture, with further support to come in the days and weeks ahead so that the culture sector can bounce back strongly."
Chair, Arts Council England, Sir Nicholas Serota, said:
"Theatres, museums, galleries, dance companies and music venues bring joy to people and life to our cities, towns and villages. This life-changing funding will save thousands of cultural spaces loved by local communities and international audiences. Further funding is still to be announced and we are working hard to support our sector during these challenging times."
John Morris, MDM Props Managing Director said: Covid 19 has run roughshod right across the creative sector, but not just the visible and tangible outlets: galleries, theatres, museums and so on, but also the innumerable support companies and individuals: art fabricators, set builders, specialists in all manner of expertise that the arts could simply not function without, but are generally hidden from public view. This grant will enable us to keep trading, and still be in place to support the creators when we emerge from our enforced hibernation. So a huge thanks to the arts council for including us in their grant allocation and for being there for us when we needed them most.
